Why does Ruby on Rails use class based inheritance instead of Ruby mixins (modules and Module.include?)
e.g.
class ApplicationController < ActionController::Base … end
or
class Account < ActiveRecord::Base … end
instead of
class ApplicationController include ActionController::Base … end
or
class Account include ActiveRecord::Base … end
Mixins are much more flexible than class...

Multiparameter attributes in Rails, don’t work with virtual attributes. Unless the attribute maps to a concrete database column, ActiveRecord will raise an exception. I ran into this issue while developing some credit card processing functionality.
