Even as an atheist, I found this quite profound. Had to post.

Project Euler in Ruby: Problem #1
What is Project Euler?
Project Euler is a series of challenging mathematical/computer programming problems that will require more than just mathematical insights to solve. Although mathematics will help you arrive at elegant and efficient methods, the use of a computer and programming skills will be required to solve most problems. The motivation for starting Project Euler, and its continuation,...

In the age of democratized industry, every garage is a potential micro-factory, every citizen a potential micro-entrepreneur. Here’s how to transform a great idea into a great product.
1) INVENT Stop whining about the dearth of cool products in the world — dream up your own. Pro tip: Check the US Patent and Trademark Office Web site to ensure no one else had the idea first.
2) DESIGN...
Literally everyday I find out something that makes me despise my own country. Since I have been developing my iPhone apps and jumping back into contracting, I have been looking at what the most tax efficient legal structures might be for me. I can not believe that under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002, a solicitor, accountant, etc must inform the authorities without telling their client, if they...

Why I Can't Do Business With You
It’s 2010 dude. I cannot help but roll my eyes and reach for cmd+w if I see any of these things.
Your whole site is in Flash.
I therefore can usually expect to see that you don’t understand the internet as a medium, e.g. by disregarding the paradigm of a structured, easily parse-able document, in favour of some poorly thought out rich media bulls**t. I can also reasonably infer...

Pharrell Interview At Midem (Cannes, France).
EDIT: Added my thoughts after watching
Pharrell is one of my heroes; a creative genius and true visionary, though he appears to be quite naïve vis-à-vis more logical, concrete spheres though. I’m just not buying his opinions on business etc.
To me a keynote address should be given by a true luminary in a field; it should...

Ruby 1.9 broke your ish…
Ruby 1.9 has been here for a minute now. If you’re not already using it in production, get ready to because Rails, that opinionated little bugger, really wants you to use it with 3.0
I’m sure you have seen this pattern for extending objects with your own functionality before:
module IncredibleFunctionality

Shout out to mattonrails for reblogging “One does not simply SSH into Mordor”. I was melancholy when I thought that didn’t go over, then Matt reblogged it, and it went over nicely.

Sometimes when you have a conversation with someone, they should read you your Miranda rights beforehand. It’s like that.

Started out really disliking the guy, but have grown to love him.
Wow. I missed this before. It simultaneously made me laugh insanely loud, smile, and blush (pause).
I’m happy I was able to turn that ship around, because Brandon is one of a few people whose opinion I truly value and consult regularly.
Thanks little bruv!
